Shadow and Mist is a PG-ish story about an Empire, taking place thousands of years in the future, when the Earth has been pushed to its limits. The story is work safe, and for the most part family friendly. Some of the content is violent, but the over all theme is not.
The manuscript for Shadow and Mist was originally completed in 1992, and over the course of the following decade, was submitted to virtually every science fiction publisher in business at the time. After one last submission attempt, made to TOR in 2005 at the recommendation of a colleague, I decided to post Shadow and Mist online, while I continue to work on its sequel, and other diverse projects.
